Beyonce, Fergie, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian: New Year's Eve 2011 Style Roundup

Working in fashion and entertainment, I rarely need a reason to party. But welcoming 2011, and celebrating the end of a decade, is as good a reason as any.

I threw a party at my house and invited all my family and old friends, and had a glamtastic time bringing in the new year with some of the people I love the most.

Our favorite celebs seem to do the same with appearances, performances, toasts and laughs at some of the hottest party spots across the country (but mostly in Vegas).

Here's a look at some of the most darling and dapper celeb looks on New Year's Eve.

Guess Who's The New Face Of Proactiv?! Justin Bieber!!

Talk about the perfect face to get all those kids to buy your product!

The 16-year-old teeny bopper heartthrob Justin Bieber will be joining the ranks of celebs such as Diddy and Katy Perry as the newest face of the acne fighting skincare brand, Proactiv?
Here's what he had to say about joining the brand:
"This is kind of a way I can give back to my fans, by letting them know I use Proactiv and that it's really easy - one, two, three and you're done. My fans already know I'm just a regular kid, except the stuff about my life that's not regular...like performing to the thousands of kids and always being in the spotlight. But, I know that for a teenager, it doesn't matter how many people are looking at you, you don't want acne on your face."
But, this do-good kid is not only looking out for his face (and bank account); he's also using this deal to promote the nonprofit Pencils of Promise, an organization created to help expand education in developing nations.
I don't know about you Glamazons, but I'm kinda proud of the kid for snagging this skincare deal. I'll admit that I listen to his album from time to time hahaha. But, shouldn't he have a hair care deal by now as well?! (I mean, that's what he's mostly known for as far as looks go, right?)
What do you think, Glamazons?

MAGAZINE GLAM OR SHAM?: Diddy in His Underwear for GQ Magazine

Diddy never fails to entertain me! His latest stunt is a feature for GQ Magazine in which he swings on a chandelier with his crotch in full view.

While I could have lived without seeing Diddy's drawers, I love the energy of the shot. The article, by contrast, takes a serious turn as the music mogul reflects on his father's murder and his mother's influence in his life:

On finding out his father was murdered and was one of Harlem’s leading drug dealers:

“I had looked up my father’s name, and I saw an article about my mother wearing a full length chinchilla to a funeral and taking me, and I was in a mink, and the story was of the glamour and the decadence of our family, and how he was the kingpin of Harlem, and how he had got assassinated. I understood why my mother didn’t tell me the truth because where I was living, I probably would have been one of the biggest drug dealers out there. The type of person I am, I would have wanted to follow in my father’s footsteps.”
On his mother being a big influence:

“My mother is why I am, who I am today. People can say what they want to say, but I just represent being sucker free, working hard and being positive. I don’t hate on nobody, I’m not a negative individual. I just wake up and I go for mine and I try to work the hardest I can work. I could have gone a lot of different routes, but I decided to go the route of hard work.”
On the motivation to continue after all his success:

“The motivation is to be better. There’s been room for improvement for me as a recording artist even as a producer, as a man, as a mogul. It’s not even about greed or ‘when will he stop?’ because I’m just not going to. I’m not going to stop, probably ever. It’s a love; it’s not money because the money has been achieved.
Deep. What do you think of that photo? Will you pick up the issue?

Just Another Reason That Proves 'The Dream' Is A Loser

Ok, Glamazons, he may be a musical genius when it comes to creating hit songs, but I've never been a fan of Terius Nash (also known at 'The Dream.') There's always been something about him that skeeves me out, so when I heard the news that Christina Millian was not only marrying him but also having his child, I hoped that maybe it would change my mind about him. (I'm all about the family man in Hollywood.) But, nope, it never changed. And now, I've just read that he and Millian have separated amidst reports that he cheated on her with his assistant of a year, Melissa Santiago. (Score one for the assistant who will now reach new heights of fame a la Rachel Uchitel style!)
Although this pic (below) surfaced of Santiago straddling a wedding-ringless Nash in the Carribean over the weekend, The Huffington Post reports that Millian split from him back in late 2009 but kept the decision private in order to protect their baby daughter Violet. Weird because the couple originally wed in Vegas in September 2009 and even had a second ceremony in December. Why get married not once but twice if you've already decided to call it quits?!
This will be the second disastrous marriage for Nash. (He was previously married to singer Nivea and they have three children together.) Maybe he's trying to compete with Diddy (who has 5 kids) as to who can have the most children and baby momma's?! (In Diddy's defense, at least he never married Misa Hylton-Brin, Sarah Chapman and Kim Porter.)
Hmmm..what do you think of this situation, Glamazons? Will you continue to purchase music from 'The Dream?' Do you even care? (Because in actuality, I don't...I just wanted to further prove my point that Nash is a loser hahaha)

NEW!! Diddy Launches Diddybeats Headphones, Calls Them "Fly as Ferraris"

Diddy and Dr. Dre collaborate on DiddyBeats headphones.

It's been a great past couple of months for King Combs. Diddy's successful clothing line, Sean John, inked a deal to be sold exclusively at Macy's. He joined the Interscope family and added Jay Electronica, Rick Ross and the fashionable Janelle Monae to his roster. And did I mention he has a hilarious role in the soon-to-be-released comedy, "Get Him to the Greek"?

This man doesn't sleep. While promoting his new film on the media circuit (which included a brilliant interview on my fave show, "Inside the Actor's Studio"), Diddy found time to launch in-ear high-performance headphones.

Because it's only right that you Diddy Bop to Diddy's music in Diddy's headphones. Duh.

Yes what you see here folks is Anna Wintour Diddy Bopping at the MET Gala.

Cleverly titled "Diddybeats," the headphones are as durable as they are stylish (and I'm a tough judge. I am always listening to my IPOD on the subway so cute, lasting headphones are a must for me).

A collaboration between Diddy, Monster, Beats by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine (who also helped develop Mary J. Blige's "Melodies by MJB" sunglasses), the headphones will be sold exclusively at Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile for $150.

Jimmy Iovine told AllHipHop.com he chose Diddy specifically because "he's a pioneer in marrying music with fashion." And it doesn't get more fashionable than "Diddybeats" headphones. In fact, Diddy revealed to AllHipHop.com he wanted them to look as "fly as Ferraris." Man, I love this guy.

The fly headphones come in white, powdered pink and black. What? You mean no sequined silver color to recall his shiny suit days? Bummer.

Read more about "Diddybeats," Diddy's amazing new artists and what motivates him to stay at the top of his game here.

A Day in the Life: Coutura Attends the Met Costume Institute Gala...and Parties with Oprah and Anna Wintour!

Adrianna Papell dress. Colette Malouf hairpiece.
Last night was the most fun I've had all year. And not because I walked the red carpet beside some of the hottest celebs in the biz. And not because I saw some of my favorite designers and their exquisite work up close and personal.

Solely because I, Coutura, danced with Oprah Winfrey and Anna Wintour.

Yup, last night was one for the history books.

It started with me walking into the white tent and onto the red carpet. By the way, the red carpet was actually a set of stairs celebrities walked up while journalists fired questions on the side and photogs snapped shots.

On my way upstairs, I saw Chanel Iman posing in a gold Michael Kors one piece and Iman in Prada with hair by Oscar James and makeup by the amazing Sam Fine. Those are some beautiful girls!

Oh and here's a quick shot I took of Justin Timberlake in William Rast and Jessica Biel in Ralph Lauren later on the red carpet.

As soon as I walked through the entrance, I spotted Gwen Stefani and Desiree Rogers, former White House Social Secretary with her daughter. Gwen Stefani told me she was wearing L.A.M.B. while Desiree and daughter chose Oscar de la Renta.

Here's Desiree Rogers chatting with Diane von Furstenberg.

Once inside, I chatted, more like gushed, over the stunning Kerry Washington in Thakoon for Gap. She is super sweet and silly! She graciously posed for a pic below.

While we spoke, I hear a squeaky voice and turn around to see Sarah Jessica Parker. She is truly as adorable in person as she is onscreen. Her energy is total Carrie from Sex and The City; she's smiling and catching up with everyone from Kerry Washington to Kristin Davis (Charlotte) who runs up to give her a hug.

SJP in Halston Heritage chatting with Kerry Washington.

Mini-Sex and The City Reunion

Carrie and Charlotte!

And when Chris Noth playfully tapped SJP on the butt, I felt like I was trapped in an episode of Sex and the City...willfully, of course.

The Mr. Big stare always gets me. I love him, but umm, rooting for Aidan this sequel. (I totally told him this at the bar at the afterparty LOL)

While they mingled, I spotted Karl Lagerfeld walking in and Glamazons, let me tell you, I stopped breathing. Here's the thing. Celebs, especially fashionable celebs, are fun to meet (most of  the time). But designers? Legendary designers? Like for Chanel, my very favorite brand? I die. I snapped this Paparazzi pic and talked to him for like two seconds before he was whisked away. (I have no idea what I said but something along the lines of...OMG I LOVE your work!)

Fun times! After cocktails, I left for more drinks with friends at a random dive bar (yes, we hung out at a bar in black tie, hilarious) and came back to the Marc Hotel for the afterparty.

As soon as I walked in, I met Donatella Versace. She's an icon but umm...I'll let you guys address this pic.

I spotted Naomi Campbell mingling and dancing up a storm when the party got underway.

Usher Raymond looking dapper as ever.

Chanel Iman + boyfriend breaking it down on the dancefloor.

N.E.R.D. hosted (they played the BEST songs!) while Diddy briefly took over the mic. Love to see Naomi Campbell and Kerry Washington partying it up!

Justin Timberlake even came through and performed a few hits!

And that's when my hair got sweated out! Justin had everyone on the dancefloor...literally, everyone. See the next pic.

No, your eyes are NOT deceiving you. That's Anna Wintour dancing on the floor and yes, she's got moves. Not a hair out of place though. Love it!

Oh and I almost forgot! Oprah Winfrey briefly walked onto the dance floor and who else was jamming by the entrance but moi? We grabbed hands and danced for like two seconds - I totally felt like Oprah was my homegirl. She's so cool!

I LOVE this pic! As I give my feet a rest (gold pumps = killer), Katy Perry plops down next to me. She finally met someone who parties as much as her, teehee. Here's us holding up the wall for a second.

Who knew fashion's most celebrated event would be so much fun? I had a blast! It was like prom with celebs, designers and (much better) fashions. Definitely a night to remember.

Kisses,

Coutura

Men's Fly Fashion: Sean John Spring 2010 Lookbook

If there's one thing Diddy did right, it's his clothing brand, Sean John. The quality, the tailoring, the fit and the look are pure perfection.

The popular brand is back for their Spring 2010 collection with striped cardigans, fitted acid wash jeans, colorblocked tanks, fedoras and button-down shirts with painterly patterns. A lot more stylish and downtown trendy than previous lines, but still sleek, suave and effortlessly cool.

Diddy also delivers a fresh crop of sharp suits for the business class in one-button and pinstripe styles. The color palette centers around gray, one of the trendiest colors of the season.

The lookbook is as sleek and minimalist as the clothes with black, white and gray photographs, shot by Brooke Nipar. Check out our favorite looks below:

What do you think of the collection? What piece are you buying once it hits stores?

Magazine Glam: Chanel Iman and Diddy Do Vogue

Hey Glamazons,
In the latest Vogue news, Diddy and Chanel Iman star in fab Fashion spreads in American and Spanish Vogue, respectively.
Diddy channels his Last Train to Paris vibe in a sultry shoot entitled, "A Brief Encounter," with Russian model, Natalie Vodianova. There's something thrilling and romantic about a train ride, and photographer Annie Leibowitz captures the sexy scene brilliantly. I especially love the shot of Natalie and Diddy going for a kiss as the train gears to pull off---that lingering moment when you have to say Good-bye but try to hold on for as long as possible. Just magical!
And can we add Diddy never looked more handsome than the first shot in a three-piece suit, tie and peacoat? Thank you, Grace Coddington, the [uber talented] Fashion Editor for this shoot.
*Ooo, and one more thing? So I knew I recognized the train station. They shot it in Hoboken (I'm a Jersey girl) where I've ironically spent many hours devouring Vogue while waiting for the train. Love it.*
Diddy wears a Tom Ford coat and suit and Ermenegildo Zegna tie.
Diddy wears a Salvatore Ferragamo shirt and Louis Vuitton trousers.
Diddy wears a Calvin Klein tee and John Lobb loafers.
See more images from "A Brief Encounter" here.
Spanish Vogue trades in the steam for sunshine with a Happy Face shoot featuring young beauty Chanel Iman. I've always preferred Chanel Iman in a fresh-faced look showcasing her gorgeous smile, like the adorable Teen Vogue cover she shared with Jourdan Dunn.
The Spanish Vogue shoot, photographed by Michelle Ferrara and styled by Maria Aguilar, taps into Iman's international appeal as a budding starlet who radiates natural beauty. In girly, quirky and fun fashions, Chanel looks as vibrant as the blue and orange-hued dresses she models.
Both the American and Spanish Vogue spreads will appear in the February 2010 issues. What do you think of the shoots?

Diddy to Make his HSN Debut

Hey Glamazons!Next Monday, the one-and-only Diddy is moving his platform from hit records to home shoppers. The newly 40-year old mogul, who has become a staple on VH1 and MTV, will make his debut on HSN on November 30th at 11am. He will be the first 'big name' ever to sell a fragrance on the increasingly popular shopping channel.A bit risky, but if anyone can sell an audience a product they can't test for themselves, it's Diddy (we credit his Harlem roots!). He will promote his fragrances, Unforgivable and I Am King (which both smell great in my opinion) in an interview which, HSN CEO, Mindy Grossman, jokingly calls "Behind the Fragrance."Glamazons, are you shocked by the collaboration? I'm not. With the staggering sales celebrities like Serena Williams and Iman have enjoyed recently on HSN, it was only a matter of time before Diddy utilized the channel's promotional power.Do you think he'll be successful at selling fragrances on TV? I think viewers will love his signature charm and charisma and will put their dollars toward it. Diddy's always been better at selling products than artists, as evidenced by his recent troubles with Day 26, the latest act to split from Bad Boy.Will you be tuning in on November 30th?Kisses,Coutura

A Day in the Life: Vogue September Issue Premiere

Hey Glamazons!Just in time for Fashion Week, The September Issue, premiered last night at the MOMA museum in NYC. The documentary followed Vogue for nine months as they created the September 2007 issue, which sold 13 million copies and weighed in at 2 kilograms. Whoa. As every magazine junkie knows, the September issue is the single, most important issue of the year for fashion books. And as fashion books go, Vogue is the bible.I'm always curious to compare the behind-the-scenes chaos at other magazines to ours as the closing of any issue---especially September---finds me sleep-deprived, depressed, hungry, drained and lifeless. I'm sure they'll be plenty of insider magazine moments that relate to my everyday existence from nerve-racking, finger-biting meetings with the editor-in-chief to celebrity tantrums and breakdowns on photo shoots. Rumor has it there's a lot of tension between Anna Wintour and Vogue stylist and former model, Grace Coddington (who reportedly argue about whether the photographer's stomach (below) needs retouching; aren't the sickly thin models enough?!).Critics promise that's it's filled with more drama and controversy than "The Devil Wears Prada." Can't wait to see it! A who's who of the fashion industry saw the film yesterday at the star-studded premiere and naturally, they were dressed to the nines. On the guestlist? Fashion royalty Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Phillip Lim, Rachel Roy, Tory Burch, Zac Posen, Jason Wu and Vera Wang. Celebs Chanel Iman (and boo), Renée Zellweger, Sienna Miller, Cassie, Diddy and Diddy's car.Check out the red carpet pics below and let me know if you're planning to see the film when it opens in NYC on August 28th and everywhere else September 11th.

Queen Anna Wintour hit the red carpet with Sienna Miller wearing a Thakoon dress
Renée Zellweger looked sickly in Carolina Herrera.
Fashion gods, Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta
Rachel Roy always looks so regal and radiant. And love that Michael Kors statement, chain-link necklace.
A newly blond Jessica White. What do you think of the hair color? Not a fan. The bandageshoes are glam though (Just bought a pair of Manolos like it I can't wait to rock during Fashion Week!!)
Diddy being very divo on his car - he knows how to make an entrance.
Chanel Iman looks every bit fashion goddess in a Versace mini (and loving the neon heel on those sandals). She brought her boyfriend along - so cute!
Diddy, Cassie and the adorable Zac Posen, whose fashion show made my life last season.
Yes! Cassie is winning these days! The black jumpsuit with plunging neckline and killer pumps are
so tough-luxe! The neon pink nails add the perfect, feminine touch. Love it!
Still don't know how to feel about that cut though...it just looks odd.
