WOULD YOU WEAR...Winter Shorts like Alexa Chung and Nicole Richie?

There are some things I just can't leave in the summer: boys, peeptoe pumps, flirty, floral dresses, miniskirts. A pair of shorts is not one of them.

That's not to say I don't adore the shorts and tights look which is tres chic for early Fall dressing. But there is a cutoff date, and I'd say it's probably when the rest of the world is wearing fur jackets, knee boots and scarves.

The freezing temperature hasn't stopped a couple celebs from stepping it out in shorts and tights. (I'm hoping they're in Los Angeles because ten minutes near the West Side Highway in Manhattan and you'd turn to ice).

And designers are churning out shorts in winter textures like velvet and wool.

What say you? Is it way too late in the season to rock the winter shorts look or would you brave it with a pair of cashmere cableknit tights and knee-length boots?

Discuss.

And if you love the winter shorts look, here are some studded, wool, velvet or leather shorts to brave the cold in:

Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Kim Kardashian, Heidi Klum and More Dress up for Halloween

Hey Glamazons!

I hope you all enjoyed your Halloween weekend. I sure did. Halloween might be one of my favorite holidays of the year because I live for playing dress up. I even had two costumes this year (yes, festive is my middle name!) but more on that later.

Several celebrities got into the Halloween spirit this year as well from Rihanna who tweeted herself getting cozy with a skull above, to Lady Gaga who dressed up as Cruella Devil to Kim Kardashian who made a beautiful little Red Riding Hood. Scroll down for our favorites and tell us who you think had the best costume!

And remember to send your costume to us at theglamazonsblog@gmail.com (also you can hit us via Facebook and Twitter) for a chance to be featured on the blog.

Ciara dressed up as Storm from X-Men designed by Joseph Altuzarra and I have to say she looked BEYOND fab! So much so I might be stealing that costume for next year. Love the black catsuit and color contacts, but a white wig and cape would have made it even hotter!

Every year Heidi Klum outdoes herself and this year is no exception. She dressed up as a Transformer with fellow robot, husband Seal. The stilts, red hair, purple glitter body paint and fab silver hardware details are so major! Everyone from Marc Jacobs to Joe Zee tweeted their praises.

After tweeting pictures of herself in four costumes (all below), Kim Kardashian stepped out to Heidi Klum's annual costume party at Lavo in a red riding hood costume. Love her subtle makeup and killer red shoes.

Oh, and publicist and BFF, Jonathan Cheban was her Big Bad Wolf.

Kim tweeted pics of herself in four costumes before choosing Little Red Riding hood. The pirate was my favorite, but sister Kourtney rocked that look instead with Mason in tow. Cute!

When it comes to theatrical stars like Lady Gaga, one has to wonder: what does she dress up as for Halloween? I mean, everyday they're a walking Halloween costume, right? Well, we have our answer: Cruella De Vil.

Gaga's costume really just consisted of a dalmatian coat, black briefs and red pumps. Apparently, she was surrounded by an entourage of women dressed up as her dalmatians as well.

For Colored Girls star, Janet Jackson showed up at the Lanvin party dressed up as a gangster. Fierce! A mustache, fedora, cigar and gorge feathered heels completed the look. Didn't she nail it?

Who was your favorite out of our Top picks? And here are some other celeb costumes that wowed us this year:

Ellen Degeneres as Snooki's poof! Dying at the Cabbage Patch doll on the floor

John Legend as Anthony and girlfriend Christine Teigen as Cleopatra

Gwen Stefani made my day with her cow print pants!

Snooki dressed up as a pickle. Umm, okay.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Ciara in a Lace & Feathery Givenchy Couture Dress at the 2010 MTV VMAs

As the face of Givenchy, Ciara gets to wear all their dark, glamorous gowns on the red (or white) carpet. And we have to admit, she wears them well.

For the 2010 VMAs, she chose a lace Givenchy dress with feather accents that fade from black to faint pink. Ciara complimented the dress with pink Givenchy platforms which are to-die-for.

Personally, I love this look. It's fashion-forward without trying too hard (which Ciara has a bad habit of doing), and sexy, feminine and fun.

What do you think of Ciara's look? Did she get it right? Is it Glam or Sham?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Lala and Carmelo's Wedding with Kim Kardashian, Lebron James and More

While The-Dream and Christina Milian made their way to divorce court, Carmelo Anthony was in NYC putting a ring on Lala's finger.

Sure the engagement lasted forever, but I'm not judging. At least we know this isn't a fly-by-night marriage just so the kid isn't born out of wedlock (cough...Christina and The-Dream).

And any event that brings out fabulous fashion is a celebration in my book.

Check out the top looks of the night below (with designer names) and give your verdict on who was GLAM and who was a SHAM.

Lala arrived at the venue before the wedding looking fabulously casual and chic. I see those studded Christian Louboutin loafers, girl!

Kim Kardashian showed up in a Herve Leger dress, Loren jewelry and Christian Louboutin heels. She wore the tightest, most shimmery dress she could find---or is it just me? She certainly looked stunning and is a great friend; rumor has it she paid for Lala's wedding dress and one of her bachelorette parties.

Kelly Rowland has been getting it right these days in my book. The lovely singer wore a purple long-sleeved dress and leopard print pumps to the event. Very demure yet modern and classy at the same time. A class act!

Oh, Ciara. Is this look for the club or your friend's wedding? Between the busy print, the one-shoulder and the hemline that will creep up and display all her goodies with one wrong step, she looks a dusty sham (my opinion). And what in the Sasha-Fierce-hell is that on her finger? I can't.

Serena Williams does it again in a classy, flattering strapless dress, peeptoe pumps and a matching clutch. While I'm not crazy about the hair, I must say she looks chic and presentable.

Lala's good friend, and Beyonce's cousin, Angie Beyince, kept the leopard trend alive this time mixing it with royal blue. I think that dress is super-flattering on her figure (ruching and draping are your friends, ladies!) and am a big fan of the look.

"Couture" details aren't for everybody. Trina is gorgeous but this look gives me urban high school fashion show and that's not a good thing.

Miami Heat's most controversial player, Lebron James, showed up in a dapper gray suit and sleek shades with long-time girlfriend Savannah by his side. Maybe we'll see his wedding right after next year's championship ring? Haha (Shameless Lebron fan moment).

Ok, my favorites were clearly Kelly while Ciara and Kim Kardashian weren't following the rules of etiquette in my opinion (don't dress for the club at someone's wedding). Glamazons, give your verdict on the looks. Who was Glam and who was a Sham?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Ciara's Sexy High-Fashion Spread for Vogue Paris

Confession: I have never been a fan of Ciara's magazine spreads. Until now. The songstress starred in a feature story for Vogue Paris shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Givenchy’s Creative Director Riccardo Tisci. She looks impeccable.

Evoking religious imagery, the spread features Ciara alongside male models in elegant, sophisticated poses. Ciara, who is Givenchy's muse (she also wore Givenchy Couture to the 2010 Grammys), looks beautiful and timeless in these shots, my opinion.

What do you think of the spread and Ciara's new high-fashion look?

I have to admit I am a huge fan of hers these days, following her smoking video for the single, "Ride," which was banned from BET (Oh...the irony). I am glad Ciara is finding her own footing and I believe the success of "Ride" and this amazing editorial spread are steps in the right direction. Do you agree?

Ad Glam: Adidas Originals Taps Ciara, Agyness Deyn and Whitney Port for Spring 2010 Campaign

Adidas Originals goes behind-the-scenes on the streets of London to shoot their new interactive ad campaign. (P.S. I'm so heading to London this summer! Cannot wait!)

As if the funky clothes and London streets weren't cool enough, the brand also tapped the most eclectic mix of women from fashion and beauty to play runway models.

The new Adidas girls, Ciara, Whitney Port, Agyness Deyn, Ana Ivanovic, Adrienne Bailon, Tallulah Morton, Louise Roe, Cheer Chen and Hyori Lee, embody the futuristic, cool and urban feel of the new Adidas Originals collection. Each Adidas Originals icon brings their unique, original style to the campaign.

Check out the amazing short film below where the ladies filmed each other strutting for the cameras! Love it!

GLAM OR SHAM?: Ciara at the Grammys

The Fashion Show faux paux heard 'round the world, Ciara showed up late to Givenchy's Spring 2010 Couture presentation and was met with a chorus of 'Boo's.' Not the best way to begin a relationship between a recording artist and a fashion house.

Nonetheless, Ciara made goth glamorous in a Givenchy look on the Grammy red carpet last night. Sure, it was more high fashion than we have previously seen from Ciara---but is that a bad thing? I vote No.

It was see-through, showing off her GORGEOUS gams and daringly dark. Plus the diamond-studded jacket added tons of cool, rockstar edge.

I loved that it was a different aesthetic for the red carpet, where beautiful, elegant and ethereal looks reign.

Also, Ciara's black ponytail was just the hairstyle to complement the dress without distracting from it. And the fresh-faced makeup look only highlighted her natural beauty.

Clearly, I'm a fan but naysayers tore the dress to shreds on Twitter last night. What's your verdict, Glamazons? Glam or a Sham?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Pre-Grammy Looks from Rihanna, Jay-Z, Katy Perry and more

The Grammy Awards are upon us which means for the last few weeks, stylists, make-up artists, eyelash artists, PR girls and designers have been scrambling to outfit stars in the latest and greatest fashions.

Judging from the latest pics from Pre-Grammy events, some celebs will push the envelope in avant garde looks (a la Rihanna) stay safe and trend-friendly in sequins or silk (like Mary J. Blige and Katy Perry) or show up in a tacky cringe-worthy ensemble that anyone can pick up at your neighborhood Rainbow store (sigh...Ashanti).

Check out the looks from Clive Davis' and Neyo's parties below and give your verdict: Who was Grammy Glam and who was a Sham?

Rihanna's multicolor pastel look was delightfully avant garde but the shape and hue was a lot to take in at once. I will say her light green make-up and polished hair was uberfabulous.

Ciara, is this a joke? The cheap-looking shaggy fur top paired with shorts and knee boots (darling, pick a season) was proportionally and aesthetically all wrong. The loud fashion faux paux is sure to turn heads---just not for the right reasons.

Fergie...the part lingerie/part electrical tape dress would make sense on a Vegas party girl, not a pop star. It is cheap and tacky and looks like it smells like plastic. Sham.

Though Mary J. Blige, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's dresses were sequined and safe (aka you could see a thousand of them at any New Year's shindig or gala), atleast they looked glamorous and presentable. I live for the multicolor sequins on Katy's dress.

It seems leather was a staple on the red carpet (see Ashanti's disaster below) but Jennifer Hudson's trendy purple color, shoulder detail and blunt bangs make the look undeniably chic.

The fellas stole the night. In all black everything, Jay-Z redefined cool in a New York City rockstar vibe with a motorcycle leather jacket, a chain necklace and black separates. Jamie Foxx brought his signature suave style in a one-button blazer with a shirt and tie.

Neyo's signature fedora, shirt and vest captured his "perfect gentleman" motif to a tee, but I hate the sneakers. English gentleman meets street culture? I'm not buying it. And raise your hand if you're tired of seeing a fedora on this man at every event...I understand hats are your thing but they make different styles.

Precious star, Gabourey Sidibe wore a black banded sheath dress and...flats? I LOVE Gabourey and what she represents as a full-figured woman in Hollywood who readily embraces her out-of-the-norm body size. But this dress is just not flattering. It makes her look ill-proportioned and does nothing for her shape.

Ashanti is on my list. The gray leather zippered mini is cute, yes. But why did you borrow your sister's dangly earrings from prom and clip on a blonde, curly weave from the beauty supply store? (Did anybody tell her that her hair doesn't match in the front?!) No matter how chic she starts off, she always gets it wrong. Sham.

What do you think, Glamazons? Glam or a Sham?
