You can fix it to fit a tar and that'd be fine, but all entries not in the correct format will be disqualified.

Actually no, it doesn't. It asks you if you've ever had sexual contact with another male (at least in Colorado and NY, the two places I've given). I've never seen anything in the process that would preclude a gay virgin.
I'm not qualified to respond to that, although apparently studies have indicated otherwise. But I'm not informed enough to take those things for granted.
You're only making excuses for the discrimination. Gay virgins precludes nearly the entire populace over 22 and these studies have long since proven biased. The fact remains that if two male virgins became a committed couple and wanted to donate blood, if they ever had sexual contact with each other they'd be precluded for the sake of bigotry. That's entirely unacceptable to me as a person, let alone a person that has several family members in a similar situation who would love to donate, but cannot.
But, enough of this discussion. Let's highlight those who are able to donate and do. You are heroes and those of us who will eventually receive your gift thank you

Always think of Jeremy when I see a Clubman.
That scene was him driving the Ariel Atom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6v4YNkurhLk), though I'm sure the effect on one's face would be much the same in the Caterham.

As expected, FedEx delivered my shuffle this morning.
The pictures don't do it justice. The thing is really smaller than you think it is, even looking at the pictures. So far I'm rather pleased.
do you have any pics of your own??!?!?!

This instantly made me think of Laputa: Castle in the sky [....]
ld go for this over iCloud. It's a brilliant idea to brand a cloud related service as a castle. It just fits. They can even claim that it's "magic as a castle in the sky"
(Movie Spoiler):
As big a fan of the film, and Miyazaki, as I am, I'm not sure the end of the film would make for a good analogy!! 'Store your data with Apple: watch it crumble into the sea or float off into space!' :)

Its never a good thing when the guy behind the reason we buy Mac's leaves. :(
For the user who mentioned that he was behind OS X flaws (you mentioned iTunes bloat) - you are wrong. iTunes isn't run directly by the Mac OS development team, it has its own department. There's probably a little crossover however generally he wouldn't have much input on iTunes.
since almost no one buys a Mac and almost everyone buys an idevice, no one cares about him leaving.
the world has moved past computers being the center of personal computing

I think Apple's policy allows for users to opt-in to sharing their personal data.
And that's the point FT has a problem with.
They want that data so they can sell it to marketers and artificially inflate their profits.
Also this made me laugh:
The report notes that the Financial Times has already developed a relatively successful paywall model for its online content, with the newspaper bringing in about 40% of its revenue through digital sales.
They're bringing in 40% of their revenue through digital sales because people already abandoned their paper distribution in droves, just like every other publication. People just go to Google News and get access to thousands of different articles on the same topic that are all free.
FT needs that user data to sell to advertisers because without it they hemorrhage money due to their poor business model.

the item is improperly listed, which is against ebay's policy, end of story. and if you've sold so many of these, where's all the negative feedback? surely you don't expect us to believe you made pals with the people you've sold your crappy photos to? your claims of doing this multiple times are as fake as your crappy auction.

Fair enough. I'd be interested in your thoughts on Post No. 50, if you have any.
I agree with the notion that people should try to take steps to avoid risk, and that people can greatly reduce personal risk by making safer choices.
But this nugget of wisdom does not really touch on the substance of the issue arising in the OP, to wit - how much responsiblity does a rape victim carry? Or, to turn the question around, how much of the rape is not the rapist's fault?
What kind of twisted logic hears of a rape decides that looking "like a prostitute" is the salient feature of the case? What about the crazed deviant who committed the crime in the first place? Indeed, I think Gelfin's analogy is apt - if a smartly-dressed man is mugged, should we simply shrug our shoulders and say "well, he looked like he had a lot of money so he was asking for it. He should have been wearing something less ostentatious."
It's also, by the way, fallacious to assume that only young, attractive and/or scantily-clad women are raped. Such suppositions are the product of the same twisted male chauvinist perspective that suggests that looking "like a prostitute" means that women are "asking for it".
